Volunteer Opportunities at ECRA

Monday thru Friday​

Kitchen Assist: Hours 10 am - 1:30 pm making salads, cutting desserts, assisting servicing, general kitchen tidy up and dishwashing.

Dining Room Assist: Hours 11:00-1:30 pm assist seniors who require help to their table with meal tray, provide same with water/coffee as requested, clear dishes from tables to kitchen for dishwasher, wash tables, fill salt & pepper shakers and napkin holders after lunch ends at 1 pm

SPECIAL EVENTS

Special Events times vary depending on event

Birthday Tea: is the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Help is needed with set up, serving beverages and cake with ice-cream, and clean up. We are also looking for someone to help with organizing our birthday tea each month.

Catering Events: usually on Saturdays/Sundays. Assist with table set up and take down, sandwich making, assembly of  fruit/veggie/dessert trays, clean up and dishes.

Craft/Bake/Book Sale: is always in October on a Saturday. Help set up tables, assist with odd tasks during the day and take down tables and chairs and help with packing up what is left.

Winter: Snow shovelling just the sidewalks, door exits and entrances to shed. Snow days wold require shoveling to be done before we open at 9 am. If snow continues thru day periodically clear the paths . Weekend events times would vary but need to be done before guest start to arrive.
